You may notice that our Shepherd character differed slightly ingame to when we created her. She was made with an eyebrow scar on her right eyebrow and a scar on her chin. InGame however she appears with an eyebrow scar on her left eyebrow and a scar on her lip. Very odd, not that it detracted at all from the fact we could make a female character who was cool, cute and smattered with sp much dyke-kool, your gaydars must be bleeping. Hey guys,
really liked the images, must have taken ages to screen-capture them. A lot of the blue alien women look quite similar. I think my favourite image in the article was "Giana', she looks really cool.
I'll be checking back to see what other ones get added. Thanks for going to the trouble.

I cant really beleive how many female characters there are in that game! And is that not even all of them yet? I think I am stunned.
Big up for you ladies for bringing us this. I probably wouldn't have been half as interested in it as I am now.

Wow that is one hell of a lot of female characterisations for a single game. I assume the male contingent is about the same or more? Shame I don't have an Xbox, this looks like my cup of java.

Hi all,
thanks for the comments and keep them coming!
You know overall I actually think there are more female characters than male. I could be wrong, but as far as interaction I'd say it's definitely female heavy (I know! Don't all fall off your chairs at once!).
This isn't to say there aren't some very cool male peripheral characters also though. Can't go into details really, but I have my favorites of both genders for varying reasons.
Once you've all got it we'll hit the comments or forums with it all.

Wow, I hope this game comes out for the Mac. Some of Bioware's other games did, but no talk about a Mac version of this one, yet.

All of the asari (the blue women) are female. They are a single specied alien race, but they pretty much look and sound female. But, except for the quarian Tali, and about half the humans, all of the other races that have lines are male - Turians, Krogan, Salarians, Volus, Elcor -- all male. The Hanar are the only other exception, but the genderless blobs are again done with male voice actors.
However, there are some characters that do not have lines, that may be female. One Salarian in the Consort Sha'ira's area I suspect is female, for example.

Well to be fair its about 50-50 though most of the vocal tract seem female...though as was mentioned a few species are " genderless, and or identical to each other...
like the Salarians, in truth several are female, we just have no way to know because male and female appear identical in every way to other species..but one nice thing is the Salarians are a matriarch society, so even if their male-female ratio is off there is still that little factoid
