Here we are with the lowdown on what went on at the Sony presser: Sony waffled – as they tend to do – about how great the PlayStation was / is and will be. That’s how they kicked things off at their conference, as cocky and arrogant as ever. It was all about old games (Tekken, Crash, GTA etc) and sales figures, then they cut to the now and revealed a few goodies. All for you, short and sweet, after the jumperoo.

Want your WiiMote to be more responsive, like say 1 to 1 (1:1) responsive? Well, apparently Nintendo are about to make your dreams come true with the MotionPlus accessory for the Wii. Slot this sucker into the bottom of your WiiMote and it will better track exactly where your arms are and what they're doing, thus making for better on screen interaction. The Nintendo Conference hasn't hit E3 yet and we're assuming this will get a fair bit of time when it does and we'll update then. In the mean time, image after the jumperoo.

As you're no doubt aware E3 has kicked off and we've got the upshot of what came out of the Microsoft presser: Firstly those cool XB Avatars are a go and they look great (designed by the folks at Rare). The new dashboard interface uses the new avatars and is released in the Fall (US). You'll be able to use the avatars in certain games, including the new Scene-It title and Uno Rush.
